Komegashi Too Sake Tasting

Komegashi Too went all out with their Five Course sushi and sake tasting. Everything was so good it's hard to say what we liked best. The sake was well paired for each course and although some seem strong alone - paired with a food item seemed to sit perfectly with my palate. Everyone left full and tipsy from all the sake. My favorite was Ken sake and the Yuzuomoi which was a yummy citrus dessert sake (who would have thought). Also one of the dessert options was Tofu Cheese Cake - seemed odd but I didn't see any leftover in my neighbor's plate!

Here is a sampling of the menu:

First Course: Herb Salmon, Spinach Terriene with Uni, Wasabi Duck pairing with Kaori Junmai Gingo

Second Course: AmaEbi Cocktail pairing with Koikawa Nigori Junmai

Third Course: Ankimo with Orange Salsa pairing with Ken DaiGinjo and Kaki Oyster with Spicy Miso Sauce pairing with Matsunohana Sake.

Fourth Course: Grilled Sea Bass pairing with Matsunohana Sake or Hacho Black Angus Steak pairing with Taiten Shiragiku Genshu Sake

Fifth Course: Green Tea Panna Cotta, Chocolate Brownie or Tofu Cheese Cake pairing with Yuzu Sake
